FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Alpha Alpha Gamma Omega chapter, welcomes you to our website! I am honored to serve as the 3rd President of the award winning Alpha Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter, chartered on May 26, 2018 as the first 4-letter chapter in the Sophisticated South Eastern Region and the 3rd graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® serving the Memphis area. Our service areas include the Frayser, Raleigh, and Bartlett neighborhoods in Memphis, TN as we develop partnerships with local non-profit and community-based organizations committed to service in these areas.
Under the leadership of our former International President, Dr. Glenda Glover, we embraced her administration’s program of service, Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. Program activities were focused on the following five target areas as well as our signature program #CAP (College Admissions Process): HBCU 4 Life: A Call to Action, Women's Healthcare and Wellness, Building Your Economic Legacy, The Arts! and Global Impact. Service activities within these targets benefitted our local community and beyond as our chapter was committed to making an impact locally and globally.
Service and Sisterhood have been the cornerstone of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® since 1908. As we continue to provide service to all mankind, we now embrace the six initiatives of our newly installed International President, Dr. Danette Anthony Reed. With the theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, we will seek to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy through the following initiatives: Strengthen Our Sisterhood, Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community.
Alpha Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter is excited to lead and create sustainable service and encourage all supporters and community members to join us in these efforts. We invite you to regularly visit our site to learn more about the community service programs and upcoming events of the chapter.
In Sisterhood & Service,
