Greetings Community Family,

 

It is my distinct pleasure to serve as the 4th President of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Alpha Alpha Gamma Omega chapter. As the first 4-letter chapter in the Sophisticated South Eastern Region and the 3rd graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in the Memphis area, we have faithfully served the Frayser, Raleigh and Bartlett communities.  For the past 5 years, collaboration and creativity have been the hallmark characteristics that have propelled us to becoming the award-winning chapter that we are today.  However, there is more work to be done to fulfill our mission of service to all mankind.

Our current International President, Danette Anthony Reed, issued a call to all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® asking that we SOAR to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service.  Since July 2022, we have implemented the International Program initiatives with fidelity and excellence. We have answered the call to Strengthen Our Sisterhood, Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice and Uplift Our Local Communities.   Our early and exemplary implementation of these robust initiatives afforded us the opportunity to be recognized and awarded by the South Eastern Region, led by our Regional Director, Dr. Tracey Morant Adams.  Sisterhood is Our Signature. Maximum Impact is our Mission.

Alpha Alpha Gamma Omega has seen much success.  A large part of our phenomenal success is because of you, our awesome community.  Through your continued support of our program initiatives, we have established partnerships, attacked childhood hunger, cleaned up our community, educated voters, and been a blessing to our target neighborhoods. This is the Power of Us!  I pray you will stay Powered Up and continue to SOAR with us during my 2024-2025 administration and beyond.  I have often said, “Our community is family!”
